MEET RUSTY

HEAD COACH & OWNER

Affectionately known as Rusty (or Boss by some members), Rusty started CrossFit in 2012 after a career as a Chef lead him to being far less than fit as well as overweight.

 

His first experience with CrossFit was a common one, feeling nervous, having to scale all the exercises and drowning in a pool of sweat by the end of the session!

 

What kept him going to that gym in particular was the community vibe and the encouraging and quality coaching he experienced, thus inspiring him to open CrossFit Prolific in 2017.

 

Rusty makes everyone feel welcome at CrossFit Prolific, with his warm, encouraging nature and ability to foster a supportive community.

 

When he coaches, Rusty likes to keep the sessions fun and light, whilst ensuring everyone is moving correctly, and fulfilling their own personal fitness goals.

 

He describes himself as a “regular person who loves coaching and loves people exceed their own expectations”. This shines through in the gym, the community and the classes that CrossFit Prolific offers.

THE GYM

Located in the heart of Merewether, Crossfit Prolific is a much more than just a CrossFit gym.

 

We pride ourselves on being a community, where friendship trumps competition and everyone is welcomed and accepted from day one.

 

Each member is treated like family, everyone knows each other’s names and because class sizes are capped, personal attention is guaranteed.

 

We follow the CrossFit methodology for all our workouts, meaning constantly varied and functional training for all our members. Within this framework, workouts can be modified, making it adaptable for all levels of fitness, injuries and personal goals.
