Affectionately known as Rusty (or Boss by some members), Rusty started CrossFit in 2012 after a career as a Chef lead him to being far less than fit as well as overweight.

His first experience with CrossFit was a common one, feeling nervous, having to scale all the exercises and drowning in a pool of sweat by the end of the session!

What kept him going to that gym in particular was the community vibe and the encouraging and quality coaching he experienced, thus inspiring him to open CrossFit Prolific in 2017.

Rusty makes everyone feel welcome at CrossFit Prolific, with his warm, encouraging nature and ability to foster a supportive community.

When he coaches, Rusty likes to keep the sessions fun and light, whilst ensuring everyone is moving correctly, and fulfilling their own personal fitness goals.

He describes himself as a “regular person who loves coaching and loves people exceed their own expectations”. This shines through in the gym, the community and the classes that CrossFit Prolific offers.

Rusty's Qualifications Include:

CrossFit Level 1&2

CF Gymnastics

CF Sports Specific Training

Certificate 3 Fitness

AWF Club Weightlifting / Sports Power Coach Level 1.

When he’s not coaching, Rusty loves to train (you’ll often see him suffering at the gym in the afternoons) and kicking back with his mates and his fiance, Sophie.

After trying multiple sports from a young age, ranging from ju-jitsu to swimming,
distance running to body building, Russ finally found CrossFit. At a friends
recommendation he should “give it a go” Russ found himself passionately involved with the sport.

After a year of training, in mid 2015 he completed his Cf level 1 trainer’s

Since then he has competed and trained all around the world, though training in his local box is still the best. It’s the community that makes CrossFit what it is, and Russ is grateful he can be a part of that every single day.

My name is Olly and I’m a CF-Level 1 trainer at CrossFit Prolific.

My roots in this sport started 2 years ago, when a friend dragged me along to a class in South East Asia. Having grown up playing all kinds of sport, including tennis at a national level, I went into the class thinking I was fit…which I soon found was not the case! From that day on I was hooked. I fell in love with the community and the mutual attitude that people had towards bettering themselves.

At CrossFit gyms, I truly believe that the coach makes or breaks the experience, and so I strive to push your limits in a safe and fun environment. I have had the privilege of being taught by some of the best weightlifting coaches and athletes in Asia, and have now been coaching for 1 year.

I hope to see you in one of my classes!
